UCAT ANZ 2027: dates and a month-by-month plan
Checked 19 October 2026 by XScrubs

In short
As at 19 October 2026 the Consortium's test cycle page still shows only the 2026 dates, so 2027 registration, booking and testing dates are not published. The 2026 pattern, a February opening, March booking and a July to early August window, is a guide only. The plan below works backwards from that pattern and promises no score.
Checked 19 October 2026 against the sources listed at the end.
What is confirmed and what is not
The Consortium's test cycle page (external link) is the only place that publishes the dates and fees. On 19 October 2026 it listed the 2026 cycle, which is the cycle for 2027 university entry. It had no dates for the 2027 test. Nobody else can confirm them, so anything below marked "usual" is a pattern, not a promise.
| Step | 2026 cycle (confirmed) | 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Concession scheme and access arrangements open | 16 February 2026 | Not published |
| Booking opens | 3 March 2026 | Not published |
| Concession application deadline | 11 May 2026 | Not published |
| Standard booking deadline | 15 May 2026 | Not published |
| Final late booking deadline | 5 June 2026 | Not published |
| Testing window | Opened 1 July, closed 5 August 2026 | Not published |
| Results to universities | Early September 2026 | Not published |
Each 2026 deadline fell at 11.59pm AEST, and the Consortium makes no exceptions to them. It also strongly advises a July test date (external link), since appointments become scarce late in the window.
:::mistake Do not plan around a guessed date. Use the pattern to know when to start looking, then follow the Consortium's page. :::
Who can sit in 2027
You can sit only in your final year of school or later, and Year 11 students are not eligible (external link). If 2027 is your final year, it is your year. A result is valid for one admissions cycle only.
A month-by-month plan from October 2026
This plan assumes the 2026 pattern repeats. Shift it if the real dates differ, and shrink it if you have less time. It is a suggestion for pacing, not a prediction of any score.
- October to November 2026: read the guide to format and scoring, then take the Consortium's tour tutorial and question tutorials (external link). Try our free sample to see what UCAT ANZ practice questions feel like.
- December 2026 to January 2027: one subtest at a time, a few short sessions a week. Use the Consortium's question banks (external link) and note which questions you have done, as progress is not saved.
- February 2027: create your Pearson account. If a concession or access arrangements may apply, gather the evidence and apply as soon as the forms open.
- March 2027: book when booking opens, aiming at a July date. Check the fee on the Consortium's page first.
- April to May 2027: add timed sections and practise with the on-screen calculator and notebook. Check the booking deadline and book before it.
- June 2027: hold a full timed rehearsal using the Consortium's practice tests, which the Consortium describes as representative of the live test. Rest well in the final week.
- July to August 2027: sit your test in the window you booked.
- September 2027: the Consortium sends results to universities. Read each university's own entry and interview pages.

Common questions
- When is the UCAT ANZ in 2027?
- The Consortium had not published 2027 dates when we checked on 19 October 2026. In 2026 the test could be sat between 1 July and 5 August, and a July date is what the Consortium recommends.
- When does booking open for 2027?
- Not yet announced. In 2026 booking opened on 3 March, so early March is a reasonable thing to watch for, but only the Consortium's own page can confirm it.
- Do I need to do anything before booking opens?
- You can create your Pearson account early, since the concession and access arrangement forms ask for your UCAT ANZ ID. Those forms opened in mid-February in 2026.
- Where should I check for the real 2027 dates?
- On the Consortium's test cycle page at ucat.edu.au. Treat anything else, including this guide, as secondary.
- Can I sit the UCAT ANZ in 2027 if I am in Year 11 now?
- Yes, if 2027 is your final school year. Year 11 students cannot sit in the year they are in Year 11.
